Course objectives

The course's main goal is to introduce students to the creative practices to plan a transmedia strategy through which to disseminate historically based research on tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

Results of learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students will develop an interactive tool as support for the presentation of their investigations on the tangible and intangible cultural heritage explored during the classes.

Program

By adopting an interdisciplinary approach based on the dialogue between history and performing arts, the course will face the analysis of meaningful objects exhibited at the Museum of Biella.

The course will be divided into 3 parts.

The first part will be held by Prof. Marta Gravela.

The second part will be held by Prof. Mattia Balbo

The third part on the transmedia strategy will be held by Prof. Letizia Gioia Monda on the following dates:

• 07/05 from 2pm to 6 pm
• 08/05 from 11.30 am to 6 pm: in the first part of the class, in the morning, Prof. Balbo and Prof. Monda will involve the students in a survey to study the archeological finds from Middle Age present in Biella's historical city center
• 09/05 from 2 pm to 6 pm: Prof. Balbo and Prof. Monda will involve the students in a survey to study the archeological finds from the Roman Age collected in Biella's Museum.
• 13/05 from 2 pm to 6 pm

Course delivery

Lessons will be face-to-face in attendance. It will last 48 hours.

Attendance at the course is not compulsory although strongly recommended.

The classes will be supported by the use of multimedia and audiovisual tools.

A practical part is foreseen for the creative development of the project on the trasmedia strategy.

Learning assessment methods

For attending students, the practical test will consist in the realization of the project developed during the course in accordance with and under the supervision of the Professors.
