Course objectives
The course aims to give the instruments needed to read, listen and understand a text, a video or any material which deals with Arts in English. Therefore, students will be led to analyze many and different kind of materials – essays, videos, flyers, web pages and more - in order to expand their general English vocabulary.

Results of learning outcomes
By the end of the course students are expected to have acquired a specific glossary belonging to the field of Arts. They will enhance their listening, reading and writing skills through the analysis of texts, videos and other authentic materials. They will be able to debate on specific issues by using a proper and enriched vocabulary.

The course, which last 18 hours in total, is held with the help of multimedia materials.
All lessons are taught in presence and attendance is highly recommended. Students who are unable to attend face-to-face lessons will be guaranteed the opportunity to use teaching material through the Moodle platform.

Learning assessment methods
As part of the exam, students will give a personal written presentation (essay, from 1000 to 3500 words) choosing and examining a singular case study, based on the models analyzed in class (e.g. Art exhibition).

The course aims to give an account English language for special purposes: Arts. This goal aims to be achieved via the analysis of different kind of materials and the discussion of them.
